Oases -  El Wadi El Gadid

 

Welcome to the Land Of Glory
The four New Valley oases ( kharga-Dakhla-farafra-Baris ) are situated along a dead,prehistoric branch of the Nile and depend on spring and wells tapping water under the desert. Isolated from each other and from the rest of the outside world these oases have only been accessible to tourists since the 1980s.

The New Valley ( El Wadi El Gadid )
The government of the new valley lies in the western desert of Egypt, at a distance of 600 kms from cairo and 232 kms from assiout.The governorate comprises four large oases El Kharga, the capital of the governorate, El Dakhla,El Farafra and Baris oasis.The history of the new valley area dates back to more than five thousand years B.C. It is rick in monuments representing various historical periods. The new valley is one of the most at tractive tourist area, combining desert enviroment with large green area, water wells and springs. Besides, it is one of the most appropriate places for medical treatment and natural therapy, thanks to the abundant number of well, cold and hot sulphurous springs, reaching a temperature of 49 C,and the dry climate as humidity does not exceed 9.5% throughout the year. The sunny clear skies spreading warmth everywhere in the new valley, and the dry climate in the coldest winter months help qualify this areato be one of the most appropriate winter resorts in the world.in the wide desert of the new valley, the long roads that link its far ends to one another, are quite suitable for amateur driving tourists who would be able to see a lot of the historical places, natural sceneries and tourist attractions. travel agencies organise such trips to these far away places which can be reached by well-paved roads, fully equipped with all the necessary services.

Geographical distribution and government division of the New Valley government:-
The NEW VALLEY governorate. locates in the southwestern part of the ARABIC REPUBLIC OF EGYPT . Extends adjacent to seven government from north ( Matrouh-El giza-El minia ),from east ( Assiout-Souhag-Kena-Louxor-Aswan ),from west and south the International borders with Libya to the west and Sudan to the south .

Communications And Transport

 

Roads are considered the main stake and basis of development . it is generally a main element and a factor of attracting investiment . it is a basic condition in the complete and abslute development . we have a network of roads that links the governorate with others and to link the interior roads .

 

the air way travel

there are thsee airports in the new vallay one in Elkharga , one in Eldakhla , and one in shark Elouinat root and one is being establishing in Efarafra .

Every week there is an air way travel on sunday . it recefes in Elkharga airport at eight oclook morning and leaves at the same day at four oclock p.m .

The bus
The bus is one of the most important means of transport from and to the New Valley . the upper Egypt company for transport and tourism does it is duty by using air conditioned up to date bus with video . there are cabs from Cairo – Assiut to the New Valley .
 

 

By rented cars :-
It work around 24 hours daily between the New Valley,Assiout,and Cairo.

By the Railway :-
A weekly trip starts from Kena at 6.00 am to Kharga and back on friday 8.00 am to Kena.
A daily trip to Baris 3.00 am and back on the next day 6.00 pm.
