El Kharga Oasis

Hibis Temple :-
One of the temples built for the worship of God Amoun, lies about 2 kms north El Kharga, and dates back to the XXVI Dynasty. On its walls, the religious life of the ancient Egyptian, the story of king Narmer and unification of upper and lower Egypt are pictured. Its importance lies in the fact that it represents the pharaonic, persian,ptolemic and roman historical ages
.

 

El Bagawat Cemetry
The name El Bagawat has been attributed to the tombs`domes. It is a cemetery dating from the third. to the 7 th. Century A.D.,comprising 263 chapels amidst which stands a church, which can be considered one of the oldest coptic churches .

 

El Gheweta Temple
A bout 20 kms south of El Kharga, built for the worship of the holy triade (Amon-Mhut-Khnso), and dates back to the XXVII Dynasty(522 B.C.)

 

     

Ellabakha

It is 13 km north of KHARGA AND IT INCLUDES THE RUNIS of a castle and a temple spread all around the hills of the area . there are akasia trees and palm trees there are the old cands that were designed to collect water and to irrigate the area in the roman age .

 

Nadoura castle or palace

It is one kilometer from el kharga from the eastern border of the hibis temple . it is called El nadoura because it was used in the Turkish and mawlok age to discover the Emperor Antanious beos in the earlyse cond century and there is still the rest of some ancient Egyptian writings and relief picture of the goddess Efrudit .

 

Mustafa el kashif palace or castle

It is less than akilometre from behind the Bagawat graveyard and it is considered (is to be ) the ruins of aroman fortress from the weste3rnside

 

Dush temple in Baris

it lies 23 km from paris village inside the desert . it was built and constructed to worship the god Ayusius . it dates back to the Roman age .the age of roman emperor on its wall there are views of the emperor tarhan apreseting .the holy communion (the holy immolation ) ancient antiques that were found in .

 

KASR EL ZAYAN TEMPLE

IT LIES SOUTH OF el ghawata castle on the road of el arbaeen and 25 km south of kharga. Its construction dates back to the pharaohs it was constructed tow or ship the god of Hayeet and on its walls we can see drawings illustrating amlik presenting the statue of Maait as amon god used for watching the road of Elarbaeen .

 

THE museum include many

various monument areas . they were found in Eldaba knol .

a statue of hours and the lying lion with a human face statue and wish was found in Elhagar dir (mastery) this was addition to a collection of pots of pottery from the copetic age . some monuments were found in mut in Eldakhla
